Submission Suggestions
As a rule, Thewis does not publish individual articles. Rather, each issue is dedicated to a thematic focus. Responsibility lies with a guest editor or a team who are members of the Gesellschaft für Theaterwissenschaft. Often, these thematic sections emerge from conferences or workshops. Proposals from early career academics, but also from students, are particularly welcome. If you would like to guest edit a thematic section of Thewis, please get in touch with the respective editors.
In addition, Thewis has two other sections: "Essay" contains texts with a pronounced contemporary relevance and/or texts that address fundamental research questions in theatre studies in an accessible way. Under "Reviews", recent theatre studies publications or publications with a particular interest for the field are discussed. If you have suggestions for these sections, please contact the editors before submission.
